Portraits, especially of friends or loved ones are an interesting challenge for me to paint. I learn something new with every piece I create. I am now beginning to understand the sculptural approach that I need to take, and the color pallet required for baseline skin tone. The struggle is real, but struggle often leads to improvement in all things.
